MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

With the heat coming to an end and rain moving in, fall is nearing.  It was good seeing members and guests at the September General Membership Meeting.  The meeting offered some great speakers on a topic interesting to all of us.

 

Amanda Riddle and Brandy McCleary, from Texas Health Fort Worth Hospital – Cardiovascular Services, spoke to those in attendance.  Their specialty is in the heart and vascular unit and they shared details of common heart conditions and helpful tips for a healthy heart.  I think this held a lot of interest to our members because there were many questions and discussions.  They offered to return and have more discussions, if we desired.  Thank you to the volunteers who work hard to get valuable and quality speakers for our meetings.

 

If you have not gotten your ticket for the October General Membership Meeting fish fry picnic, please do so now.  You can call Cindy Guiles and make arrangements for a ticket.  This must be done no later than 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, in order to get a head count for our caterer.  Please do it NOW.
