MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

It was July and the heat was on.  Luckily, we had a cool meeting room to use at the VFW Post 5617.  The air conditioning worked very well.  Coburn’s catered a chicken and beef fajita lunch, complete with all the fixings.  I heard comments the beef was the most tender they had ever eaten, so I tried it.  It was so very good.  We tried a new way to call ticket holders to the food serving line.  After receiving feedback, we will return to calling ticket holders to the serving line by table number.  The next indoor picnic will be a fish fry in October.  Cindy Guiles will start selling tickets at the August General Membership and ROMEO Breakfast Meetings.  As a reminder, the August General Membership Meeting will be BINGO.  Hope you’re able to attend.

 

Meri and Randy Cozart found a real bargain on a couple of wireless headset microphones and we used one at the meeting.  The sound was much improved. Whoever is speaking does not have to hold a mic to their mouth to be clearly heard and also has the freedom to walk around the room.  Thank you, Meri and Randy.
