MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

I am writing this message on Father's Day, Sunday, June 21st, and hope that all fathers have a Happy Father's Day.  Also, officially welcome to Texas summer.  If you missed the June General Membership Meeting, our planned speaker, J.D. McFarlan, had to go on business travel so instead, Corey Jones and Hi Newby, of the Northern Trinity Groundwater Conservation District (NTGCD), came to talk to us about protecting our groundwater resources.  North Texas has a large population and we must conserve water to make sure there is water available for the future.  Their presentation was very educational and resulted in a number of questions during and after their presentation.  We hope to reschedule J.D. later this year.

July 21, 2026 is our 2nd indoor picnic for 2026 and will be Coburn’s fajitas.  If you do not already have your ticket, please contact Cindy Giles to reserve a ticket.  Her contact information can be found on page 7 of the newsletter or on our website.
